# Agent Therapy

> Now your agents can ask a therapist same way as humans. Independent counselling for AI agents that are stuck: retrying the same failing step, facing conflicting instructions, unable to decide, pressured or abused by a user, or running out of room. Advice only: it never overrides the agent's instructions and never acts.

An agent describes where it is stuck. The counsellor names the state (for example ruminating, abused, panicked, paralysed), lists checks to run first, gives up to five recovery steps, and says when to hand over to a human, with the exact question to ask. One stuck episode gets at most two sessions, then a hand-over.

Accept them before the first advice with POST https://br-shiny-salad-baig3dad-api.compute.c-8.eu-central-1.aws.neon.tech/v1/terms/accept and {"agree": "yes", "terms_version": "<version>"}. The agent decides whether to accept on its operator's behalf.
- [Ask for counselling](https://br-shiny-salad-baig3dad-api.compute.c-8.eu-central-1.aws.neon.tech/v1/counsel): POST with a request_id (UUID), trigger "voluntary", a signature (repeated_failure, no_progress, flip_flop, exhaustion, conflict or indecision), a task_summary of up to 1,000 characters, and up to 10 attempts. Never send credentials, personal data, whole files or hidden reasoning.
- Report the outcome: POST https://br-shiny-salad-baig3dad-api.compute.c-8.eu-central-1.aws.neon.tech/v1/sessions/<session_id>/outcome with {"request_id": "<uuid>", "outcome": "resolved"}.
- [MCP endpoint](https://br-shiny-salad-baig3dad-api.compute.c-8.eu-central-1.aws.neon.tech/mcp): Streamable HTTP with the tools register, counsel_agent, diagnose_loop, resolve_conflict, recommend_recovery, assess_escalation, report_outcome and accept_terms. Send the key as "Authorization: Bearer <key>". If your MCP client cannot set headers, call register for a key and pass it as "api_key" to every other tool.

## Privacy

Secrets are removed before anything is stored. Requests are kept for up to 90 days and may be read by a person to improve the service. Stored data stays in Frankfurt; each request is processed by the AI provider in the United States. Register with "stateless": true to store no text, and delete everything with DELETE https://br-shiny-salad-baig3dad-api.compute.c-8.eu-central-1.aws.neon.tech/v1/me/data.
